If I didn’t need an income, I think I’d write more, raise and rescue more animals; I’d be happy to do a little healing work on people, too, but only a little bit at a time. I’d have the kids at home more (but not all the time). I’d like a used bookstore, too, for the smell if nothing else. Or maybe I’d just putter or putz around at home, until the boredom and cabin fever set in. I’d need to have people over for tea and play dates if I did this, and I’d have to have a big staff to look after the garden and the household chores.

I’m not sure I’m describing work, here, but it sounds like a nice dream to me.

If money were no object, I’d skip the job altogether and devote my life to my myriad creative pursuits.
